Yes. Integrated fins reduce assembly count, but fin height, spacing and draft must be reviewed for filling and die release.

Can you machine flat thermal interfaces?

Yes. Critical heat-transfer surfaces can be CNC machined and inspected to the agreed flatness and roughness.
