Discuss your requirementsAgree the evidence before production
Requirements vary by product and application. A general capability statement does not replace a part-specific declaration or an approved inspection plan.
Origin and shipping documents
Agree the commercial invoice, packing list, origin documentation and customs information required for the order and its destination.
Inspection and traceability
Define lot identification, material records, dimensional inspection and functional tests before order placement. Agree the records supplied with each shipment.
Supplier qualification
Request the proposed manufacturing location, applicable certificate records and audit information. Certification belongs to its named holder and scope, not automatically to every product or facility.
Export review is part of order planning
Identify the item
Material composition, product form and technical specifications are reviewed against the controls in force at the time of shipment. An assembly is not automatically exempt because it contains a finished component.
Confirm the destination and use
Provide the destination, end user and intended application at the quotation stage. Further supporting information may be needed for classification or a licence application.
Plan the delivery conditions
Where a licence or other approval is required, shipment depends on obtaining it. Approval and timing cannot be guaranteed. Material substitutions also require technical and compliance review.
