Factory Tour · Production equipment

From molten alloy to finished interfaces.

Review the casting envelope, tool and secondary operations as one route. The selected photographs show equipment at a long-term strategic manufacturing base.

The producing site, tooling and inspection plan are agreed for the particular project.

Define the requirement

Bring the drawing, material and acceptance inputs.

Alloy and part envelope

Provide the alloy standard, drawing revision, part geometry and annual demand.

Cast and machined features

Distinguish walls, draft, undercuts and machining stock from the final locating and sealing faces.

Acceptance and finish

Define critical dimensions, surface finish and any application-specific leak-test requirement.

Process principles

Plan the casting and the finished part together.

Melt preparation, tooling and the casting parameters follow the selected alloy and the approved part requirements.

  1. Review tooling and casting

Review walls, draft, undercuts and machining stock during DFM. Agree tooling and first-shot approval.

  2. Finish functional interfaces

Coordinate machining and downstream treatment around the locating faces, fasteners and sealing path.

  3. Verify the released component

Agree critical-feature measurement, alloy records, surface verification and the sampling plan.

Verification and records

Match each record to an agreed requirement.

Dimensions

Calibrated gauges and CMM measurement address critical features under the agreed sampling plan.

Material and surface

Connect the casting lot to the alloy records and specify finish or coating verification where required.

Project documentation

Review FAI, PPAP and requested declarations against the project scope.

Project review

Connect the route to your requirement.

Send the material or drawing definition, intended use and the acceptance records needed for review.
