Factory Tour · Process principles

Follow the interface from flat blank to formed part.

Hole locations, bends and mating faces define the stamped component. Review the final formed condition alongside the flat pattern, sheet material and tooling plan.

Material ranges, thicknesses, tolerances and the manufacturing location are confirmed during project review.

Flat blankFormed interfaces

Review holes and mating faces in the finished condition.

Define the requirement

Bring the drawing, material and acceptance inputs.

Drawing and material

Provide the drawing revision, material grade and sheet thickness.

Formed geometry

Identify bend direction, hole patterns, datum faces and the surfaces that mate.

Edge and finish

Specify burr direction, edge condition, surface treatment, sample quantity and acceptance.

Process principles

The bend changes how the features relate.

Plan the blank and the forming sequence around the finished assembly interfaces.

  1. Locate

Define datum faces, hole positions and mating surfaces on the drawing.

  2. Form

Review blank geometry, bend sequence, flange angle and springback acceptance.

  3. Approve tooling and samples

Agree tooling responsibilities, samples and the approval route.

  4. Inspect and protect

Verify the formed features, edge condition and finish; agree packing and repeat-order records.

Verification and records

Measure the formed part, not only the flat pattern.

Mounting plates

Record the critical hole positions against the approved datums.

Formed brackets

Check bend position, flange angle and the relationship between mating faces.

Finished components

Agree burr, edge and finish inspection with sample approval and protective packing.

Project review

Connect the route to your requirement.

Send the material or drawing definition, intended use and the acceptance records needed for review.
